About the event
Successful caregiving begins with a thoughtful plan. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of caregiving, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), and explains how to prepare before a crisis occurs.
Topics include creating a caregiving plan, organizing financial and legal documents, understanding the importance of powers of attorney and advance planning, assembling a caregiving team, and selecting qualified professional caregivers. Participants will also learn what questions to ask when hiring a caregiver and which certifications and credentials to look for.
